Road to PGC: PUBG Esports 2026 Points & SEED Distribution
2026-03-18

Hello, PUBG Esports fans!

From Regional Series, to the PUBG Global Series (PGS), and all the way to the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) — here's everything you need to know about PGS Points, PGC Points, and seed allocation for the PUBG Esports 2026 season.

Key Highlights for 2026

  • The PUBG Global Series is structured into 4 Circuits per year, with each Circuit consisting of 3 Series, for a total of 12 events (PGS 1–12).

  • Points escalate in the second half of the season. Circuit 3 & 4 (PGS 7–12) award double the points compared to Circuit 1 & 2 (PGS 1–6).

  • The Esports World Cup (EWC) returns as a first-half milestone event. Qualification is based on first-half PGS Points and Regional Series results. Note that no PGS Points will be awarded at the EWC in 2026.

  • The PUBG Global Championship 2026 will feature 32 teams qualifying through PGS Points and regional PGC Points, with the introduction of a Host Country seed.

PUBG Global Series: Participating Teams

Each PUBG Global Series event features 24 teams. The team composition differs between the first and second halves of the season.

Second Half (Circuit 3 & 4, PGS 7–12)

  • Regional Series Top Teams — 12 teams

    • The highest PGC Point earners from the first-half regional series in each region

    • Korea (2), Vietnam (2), Americas (2), EMEA (2), China (2), Thailand (2)

PUBG Global Series: Points

Teams earn PGS Points through each PUBG Global Series event.

Within each Circuit, Series 1 and Series 2 award the same base points, while the Circuit Finals award double. Additionally, Circuit 3 & 4 award double the points compared to Circuit 1 & 2, placing greater emphasis on second-half performance.

❗️ Only the top 16 teams earn PGS Points. Teams finishing 17th–24th do not receive PGS Points.

PGS Points determine Circuit Finals qualification (PGS 3, 6, 9, 12) and are also used for Esports World Cup and PUBG Global Championship qualification.

  1. Circuit Finals Qualification: Circuit Finals seeding is determined by cumulative PGS Points earned in Series 1 and Series 2 of each Circuit. The top 8 teams advance directly to the Grand Finals, while the remaining 16 teams compete in the Survival Stage for a spot in the Grand Finals.

  2. Esports World Cup Qualification: The top 9 teams in first-half PGS Points (PGS 1–6) will qualify. PGS Points are used to determine qualification only — no PGS Points will be awarded based on EWC results. See the Esports World Cup seed allocation below for full details.

  3. PUBG Global Championship Qualification: The top 8 teams in the final PGS Point standings (PGS 1–12) will earn automatic qualification for PGC 2026. See the PGC seed allocation below for full details.
