In 2027, PUBG Esports will introduce a new competitive structure.
With updates to the existing regional competition system and the introduction of four Phases throughout the year, we aim to create a new competitive environment where more teams can compete for a place on the global stage and prove their skills.
Take a closer look at the new competitive structure and key changes below.
Regional Competition Updates
In 2027, PUBG Esports will introduce changes to its regional competition structure, including the division of existing regions and the addition of a new region.
The existing EMEA region will be divided into Europe, Eurasia, and MENA, while the Americas will be divided into North America and South America. India, home to a massive community of PUBG fans and players, will join as a new competitive region, creating more opportunities for teams to compete on the global stage.
The race to qualify for PGS begins in each Regional League. Established teams and new challengers alike will compete at the regional level, with their results determining who advances to the global stage. With the updated regional competition structure, fans can look forward to new rivalries, new contenders, and more stories unfolding throughout the year.

Four Phases, Four Chances
PUBG Esports in 2027 will feature four Phases, from Phase 1 through Phase 4.
Each Phase consists of Regional Leagues and the corresponding PUBG Global Series (PGS).
Phase 1: Regional League: Phase 1 → PGS: Phase 1
Phase 2: Regional League: Phase 2 → PGS: Phase 2
Phase 3: Regional League: Phase 3 → PGS: Phase 3
Phase 4: Regional League: Phase 4 → PGS: Phase 4
Each Phase brings a fresh opportunity to qualify for PGS, and securing a spot in one Phase does not guarantee participation in the next. New challengers will have the chance to reach the global stage, while established teams must continue to prove themselves.
As part of this competitive restructuring, starting in 2027, the Global Partner Team (GPT) program will evolve into a partnership focused on collaborative in-game items and marketing activities. All teams, including existing GPT teams, will need to earn their place at PGS through their performance in each Phase’s Regional League, without guaranteed slots. Further details on the updated partnership will be shared in a future announcement.
The next chance is earned through performance. Each of the four Phases brings a fresh challenge, creating new stories on the global stage.
Introducing PUBG Esports Points
In 2027, PUBG Esports Points will replace the existing points systems. Previously, PGC Points were awarded based on Regional League results, while PGS Points were awarded based on PGS results. Under the new system, points will be awarded exclusively based on performance at PGS.
Teams will earn PUBG Esports Points based on their results at PGS. These points will accumulate throughout the year and count toward qualification for PGC. While the race from the Regional Leagues to PGS continues with each Phase, results achieved on the global stage will build throughout the year through PUBG Esports Points.
Further details on the points distribution and PGC qualification system will be announced separately.
