Entropiq crowned PCS6 Europe champions!
2022-05-09

The roster fought off the competition to finish top of the pile… here is how it went down!

After 30 matches over two weekends, we finally have our PCS6 Europe Grand Finals champions… congratulations to Entropiq!

The roster were on fire across the six match days, taking an early lead and working hard to cement it – claiming the title, vital PUBG PGC points and the majority of the $250,000 USD prize pot. What a performance!

They were followed by PCS5 Europe champions Northern Lights in second, and FaZe Clan and BBL Esports who finished in third and fourth respectively.

Step this way for a deeper dive into how the action panned out!

Weekend 1: Entropiq blast themselves to the top

Entropiq came out like a roster possessed, dominating maps and dismantling opponents left, right and centre. They picked up a ridiculous nine top four finishes out of the 15 matches, which included two vital Chicken Dinners. They also finished on 116 kills, almost 30 more than second placed FaZe Clan. Entropiq truly laid down a marker, challenging the rest of the region to up their game and reach their level.

Elsewhere, reigning PCS5 Europe champions and pre-tournament favourites Northern Lights had a slow start, finishing in ninth, sixth, sixteenth, and fifteenth in the first four matches of Day 1. However, they closed out the day with a third-place finish and carried that form into Day 2 and Day 3, climbing up the leader board and looking more like their usual selves.

FaZe Clan, ENCE, Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, and BBL Esports also looked strong and remained in the hunt to make up the bulk of a closely fought top half of the table. PGC 2021 runners up HEROIC will have been a little disappointed with the weekend as they found themselves in 11th place.

In terms of individual performances, Entropiq’s Naylup stole the show with a seriously impressive 43 kills overall – FaZe Clan’s Gustav and Fexx were also pivotal in securing a second-place finish for their roster.

Weekend 2: Catch them if you can

Entropiq were of course eventual winners of the PCS 6 Europe Grand Finals, however it wasn’t totally smooth sailing – other rosters stepped up to make sure they didn’t have everything their own way!

Turkish side BBL Esports enjoyed a fine second weekend of action, taking four wins, 150 points and and 92 kills.

Northern Lights continued their upwards trajectory, scoring 139 points which propelled the roster into second place. The experienced squad also secured 5 Chicken Dinners across the whole tournament, the second highest after Entropiq.

Entropiq’s lead had been cut short by their rivals, and heading into the final day of PCS 6 Europe the roster found themselves with a mere 19-point lead at the top. In the end, fine form and consistency were the key ingredients of the squad’s success. On the way to victory, the worthy winners were at the top of the charts for average kills, knocks and damage per match… bravo!

BBL Esports’ CodeMarco was the kill leader from the weekend with 34 frags, he was followed by Team Liquid mxey on 29 and Faze Clan’s Gustav on 27.

One of the most notable developments to come out of the weekend was Entropiq accumulating a significant amount of PGC points, to heavily increase their chances of securing a spot at PGC 2022. The chasing pack still have lots to fight for over the course of the year as they attempt to lock in their ticket to the event!

That wraps up the PCS6 Europe Grand Finals, be sure to follow the official PUBG Esports Twitter, Instagram and website as we gear up for The PUBG Nations Cup in June!

See you there!
