All the community attention is now on the major event of the year, the PUBG Global Championship 2022, grouping the best teams and players from the year.
Just like every PGC, the tournament is stacked with high-quality players. But do you know which are the top-ranked players going to Dubai?
Let’s take a look at an exclusive PGC Power Ranking which features only players attending PGC 2022. The PGC Power Ranking takes into account our regular Power Ranking and the participation of the players in major events in the last year.
In the Top 5 Power Ranking we have players only from two regions: China and North America.
Aixleft continues in his first place, going into PGC 2022 as the best player in the world. This comes with no surprise since Aixleft was the MVP of both PCS Asia 6 and 7, with also very solid performances at PCL Spring and Summer.
The Soniqs duo TGLTN and Shrimzy follow right next in second and third place respectively TGLTN managed to be MVP of every single major North American competition this, which includes both PCS Americas 6 and 7 and also both ESL PUBG Masters Americas Phase 1 and 2. Shrimzy was his runner-up at PCS7: Americas and ESL PUBG Masters Americas Phase 1, but also delivering eye catch performances in the remaining competitions.
The fourth place of ZpYan1 can be justified (besides the actual algorithm that calculates these rankings) with one word: consistency. ZpYan1 has been a very consistent player for Newhappy, always ending on the high rankings of each competition regarding individual performance, while MMing has been oscillating a lot, compared to last year.
Last but not least on the Top 5, Luke12 from Luminosity Gaming. We can’t say that Luminosity Gaming (Shoot-to-Kill in the first half of the year) had the best year, but the numbers don’t lie, and Luke12 has been a key factor to help his team continue to fight for the top placements.
